Do you know the legends of Old Greeny?

Old Greeny Fringe Fest will be a week-long variety show, with weird, wacky and whimsical events every day.
All the event venues will be within one block of waterfront trail to maximize the chance of an Old Greeny Sightings and allow for active transportation between shows!

The event application will open on December 12th, 2025 and close on January 31, 2026.

We're looking for traditional and non traditional venues within 1 block of the Cayuga Lake inlet or waterfront trail. If you'd like your space to be a venue, reach out to us at [email protected]

History of Old Greeny
Old Greeny is a local legend dating back to the 1800s. The first people of this region told stories about huge eels and snakes that lived in the lakes. 
Throughout the late 1800s there were sightings reported all around Cayuga Lake, many made it into the Ithaca Journal.
