Basic Maintenance Course
The class is approximately 3 hours long and includes group activities, maintenance lessons and hands-on bike repair time.
You'll work in groups in order to practice skills on a variety of different bicycles. By working together you'll have an opportunity to teach your peers and learn from them. Re-teaching new skills is one of the best ways to test and solidify your own knowledge.
You will learn:

You can bring your own bike or work on a bike with a partner.

- Bike lingo and anatomy so that you can communicate effectively in bike shops
- How to do a safety check before you go on a ride
- How to remove wheels and change a flat tire
- Chain maintenance, including how to lubricate your chain and check it for wear
- Bike fitting for your unique body (everything from choosing a comfortable saddle to how to choose a bike that fits you perfectly)
